TheagleApps
AI Scan & PDF Privacy Policy
Effective October 4, 2026. Applies to AI Scan & PDF: Photo to PDF, Android package com.aiscanpdf.app, versions 1.0.0 and 1.0.1.
Your documents stay on your device
AI Scan & PDF lets you scan documents, turn photos into PDFs, organize PDFs, and extract text. Core processing, including text recognition and filename suggestions, happens locally. The app does not upload your scans, photos, PDFs, or recognized text to TheagleApps or a cloud AI service. No account is required.
Information collection and sharing
Version 1.0.0 has no advertisements or Internet permission. Starting with version 1.0.1, Google AdMob provides banner advertisements on Home and Files. Ads never block scanning, document editing, PDF processing, saving or sharing. The app includes bundled Google ML Kit text recognition for local processing.
Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share IP addresses (which can estimate approximate location), device and account identifiers including advertising ID and app set ID, app interactions, crash information and performance diagnostics for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. This advertising data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Scans, photos, PDFs and recognized document text are not sent to Google AdMob. We do not collect precise location or require an account.
Google User Messaging Platform handles consent and regional privacy choices before eligible ad requests. Where required, you can reopen choices through Advertising privacy in the app. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Core scan and PDF features continue to work offline, when ads are unavailable, or when an ad request fails. Google applies its Privacy Policy and advertising policies to advertising data. Retention and deletion of advertising data are governed by Google; Android advertising-ID controls and Google privacy controls provide available choices.
Permissions and files
Camera permission is requested when you choose to scan a page. You may deny it and import photos instead. Android's file picker grants access to the photos or PDFs you select. Imported copies, scan drafts, generated PDFs and temporary working files are stored in the app's local storage. The app does not request broad access to your photo library or all files.
Sharing, exporting and the clipboard
Sharing sends only the file or text you select to the destination you choose through Android. The receiving app or service applies its own privacy policy. Exported copies remain at your selected location. Copy text places recognized text on Android's clipboard, where system rules and other apps may govern access. Choosing the online privacy-policy link opens your browser; the website's hosting service may process ordinary web request information, including your IP address, for serving and securing the page.
Retention and deletion
You control your saved PDFs and can delete them from the Files screen. Temporary files may remain in app storage until replaced, cleared through Android settings, or the app is uninstalled. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes the app's private local data. Copies exported, copied or shared outside the app must be deleted separately at their destination. Android cloud backup of the app's private files is disabled.
Children and sensitive documents
This is a general productivity utility intended for adults, not a service directed to children. TheagleApps does not receive the contents of documents processed locally. You decide which documents to scan and with whom to share them.
Changes
This policy describes advertising added in version 1.0.1. Neither version provides cloud summaries, cloud document understanding or an account service. Future online features or changes to data practices will be reflected here and in Play Store disclosures.
